신속한 결단력으로 협조해 주신 마르코스 대통령께 감사드립니다

During the Korea–Philippines summit earlier this month, I formally requested President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to grant the provisional extradition of Mr. Park, who had been sentenced to 60 years in prison and was serving his term in the Philippines.
President Marcos assured me of his full support, and through close cooperation between our two countries, the individual has been repatriated to Korea today.
This case reaffirms a clear principle that no crime can evade accountability across borders. The Korean government will continue to strengthen international coordination to protect our citizens from crime and ensure that justice is upheld through fair judicial processes.
We will pursue, to the very end, any actions that threaten the safety and order of our society, and make certain that those responsible are brought to justice.
It is particularly meaningful to reach a conclusion on this case, which had remained unresolved for over nine years. Above all, I extend my sincere appreciation to @Bongbong Marcos for his swift decision and cooperation.
지난 한-필리핀 정상회담 당시 징역 60년형을 선고받고 현지에서 수감 중이던 박모 씨에 대한 임시 범죄인 인도를 마르코스 주니어 필리핀 대통령께 공식 요청했습니다.
대통령께서는 적극적 검토의 뜻을 밝히셨고, 양국 간 긴밀한 협력 끝에 오늘 해당 인물의 국내 송환이 이루어졌습니다.
이번 조치는 어떠한 범죄도 국경을 넘어 책임을 피할 수 없다는 원칙을 분명히 한 것입니다. 정부는 앞으로도 국제 공조를 강화해 범죄로부터 우리 국민을 보호하고, 공정한 사법 절차를 통해 정의가 구현되도록 할 것입니다.
우리 사회의 안전과 질서를 해치는 행위에 대해서는 끝까지 추적해 반드시 법의 심판을 받게 하겠습니다.
9년 넘게 해결되지 못했던 사안이 마침내 결실을 보게 되어 매우 뜻깊습니다. 무엇보다 신속한 결단력으로 협조해 주신 마르코스 대통령께 다시 한번 깊은 감사를 전합니다.
