The Korea Association of Early-Stage Investment Accelerators (KAIA) set out to revitalize the local startup ecosystem by hosting the '2026 Early-Stage Investment Insights Local Touring Seminar' at the Gwangju Creative Economy Innovation Center.
This seminar was organized to enhance the understanding of the accelerator (AC) industry among local startup-related organizations and to strengthen cooperative networks between investors and support agencies. The event was attended by approximately 30 people, including representatives from investment firms such as ACs and VCs, as well as officials from local governments and related organizations.
Sharing Early-Stage Investment Trends… “Expanding Regional Investment Infrastructure”
The event consisted of a series of lectures by early-stage investment experts. Chairman Jeon Hwa-seong (CEO of CNT Tech) shared trends in the AC industry, followed by presentations from Qnesty and Krypton on investment case studies and the role of ACs within the local ecosystem.
During the subsequent networking session, active exchanges took place among attendees, establishing a foundation for cooperation that connects investment with startup support.
The association expects that this seminar will bridge the information gap in the regional startup ecosystem and strengthen the growth foundation of early-stage startups by spreading actual investment cases.

Chairman Jeon Hwa-seong stated, “Given that early-stage investment infrastructure is concentrated in the Seoul metropolitan area, it is important to expand investment opportunities in regional areas,” adding, “We will provide support so that promising startups can secure more investment opportunities.”
Meanwhile, KAIA is the largest early-stage investment organization in Korea with approximately 300 member companies, and it is driving market growth through the standardization of the investment ecosystem and the training of professional personnel.
